Society Membership

Flowerstone Health Society is shaped by the community it serves. Our members are residents, clinicians, and supporters who bring their voice to the work of the Society, vote at our Annual General Meeting, and help inform the direction we take.
Membership is free. It keeps you connected to what the Society is working on and gives you a formal role in the community around our work. If serving on a committee or the board is where your interest takes you, membership is the starting point.

Who can become a member:

  • A community member interested in supporting the work of the Society
  • A Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives
  • Someone working at the Flowerstone Family Health Clinic
  • A person living outside Oceanside with relevant healthcare leadership experience who wants to support our work

All applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors. To be eligible to vote at an upcoming AGM, your membership needs to be approved at least 14 days before the meeting. Voting rights run from the day your membership is approved until just after that year's AGM, and Society updates continue until the following AGM.

A note on what membership is not
Being a member of Flowerstone Health Society does not give anyone priority access to employment or to patient attachment at the clinic. Those processes are governed separately and independently. Membership is about community voice, not access to care.
